Nothing wrong with a turbo gas engine as long as it's not built by VW.

I guess you're unaware of the naturally-aspirated 1.5L Dragon engine available in Mexico with manual transmission only, meanwhile here in Brazil it has been the only engine with availability of automatic transmission for a while...
