Since it's units squared, you would divide it by 12^2, or 144, to get feet squared.
Or just use the online unit converters.

Google has a built-in converter for most units, so just type in (say)
'1680 square inches to square feet'
in Google and get the answer.

168 sq. in. = 1.16666667 sq. ft.
What is the site?
And what is it that has a 1.17 sq. ft. frontal area?
Certainly not any of your cars!

swept area
The term "swept" area is not a technical term I am aware of,Can you list the source and context of it's use? I have heard the term in connection to brake drums and rotors but never with aerodynamics.

Oh fer gosh sakes, that's the brake area. Dang it, it says so right there.
So is the oil capacity .26 or 26 quarts?
