My 1990 Miata does it. I could never feel it, but once I got my MPGuino hooked up I could see it was happening. On the Miata it cuts fuel until about 2000 RPM (when warmed up, otherwise higher), then the injectors fire back up.

Hi para,
I've played with DFCO (fuel injectors shutting off on deceleration) quite a bit.
The injectors will kick back into operation well before you come to a stop or your car would stall. Don't be confused with the quite new (last couple of years max) trick of start/stop technology where the engine actually shuts off at a stop and re-starts when you hit the gas.

Read here for some more info I posted in the past about deceleration fuel cut off..
This was a stick shift saturn but the principal and practice remains the same.. http://ecomodder.com/forum/showthrea...ers-26812.html

This one includes some mention of an automatic car and a lot more detailed information about when dfco kicks in and out.. http://ecomodder.com/forum/showthrea...rta-27051.html
