I'd heard of it, but that low rear 3/4 view set my mind to wandering.
When it opens up it's like a pop-up book. Four posts spring up with a pape origami canopy. Probably white, with brass detail.

update
This project has languished now for years (seems to be my standard operating procedure! ).
I'm creating a segmented tail for the truck, which, when combined with a fake single wheel and fairing, will be measured at the DARKO wind tunnel,to simulate a fully-gap-filled,(nearly)-full-boat-tailed,1-wheel trailer.
Rather than try to figure something out from on-road testing, this will be a way to isolate and capture aero data in a laboratory setting, where all other variables can be ruled out.
I've been especially curious about the potential for BamZipPow's Dark Shadow,1-wheeler,and this will be a way to 'look' at it with a proxy.
Testing is set for September 15,2017.

For Phil Knox this is the Stella Vie, the aerodynamic test mule for a long distance solar power five passenger car I told you about on the phone.

resurrecting the fully-boat-tailed, gap-filled trailer thread
The thread title is SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO long, it was impossible to do a search, so I just went page by page for about 40-pages.
This is the latest of yet another work in progress.
If there's any interest in the new EV dedicated trailer, there may be some features of interest here, which might enhance aero performance.
I've built 'trailer' # 5, a one-wheeler, hopefully an improvement over #2. It's awaiting the trip to the A2 Wind Tunnel, where I'll nail down some numbers.
I can't road-test it, as it's solely a full-scale wind tunnel model which I won't commit to 'production' until it's aerodynamics have been ground-proofed.
