Gasifiers
Can pretty much any material be used in a gasifier?
I ask because some time a few years back I mentioned here that we burn refuse here in the country, and once I get a place built in the back acres of my father's property, I was considering powering a gas generator using a gasifier to provide some of the electrical use of the home, as well as extracting "extra" heat from the combustion chamber and generator engine to heat domestic water and for heating the home (partially).
Anyway, if grass clippings, common paper, etc can all work in a gasifier to some extent as a "fuel source", it'd be helpful. If not, I can also use those materials as a combustion source for the gasifier's combustion heat source.
Fact is, we're going to burn the stuff anyway, there is no fiscally feasible alternative to it... better to get some reasonable amount of use from it than wasting all those BTU's.
