Geo Metro convertible with DIY tapered aero roof
A convertible would be a nice base for a lift-off aerocap.

Not sure about , I assume you're genuinely curious.

Aerocap is a term used on pickup truck caps.
The third component is the bubble-top coupe.
The GTI W12-650 concept shows a bubbletop within the original hatchback roofline. There is opportunity for a tighten Kammback compared to the stock convertible top, no can opener needed.

I had a 'vert that cost me only a couple hundred bucks. Had a ratty, leaky roof. Had a similar idea as you suggested, though I didn't make mine removable.
Made it many, many years ago. Crude, but did the job...was averaging 52mpg with an XFI cam in it, in a car that was rated at and started at low-to-mid 40s.
Unfortunately, it died of cancer the winter after that. Oh well. Was a fun project.

There ya go.
How much do you think was the top and how much the cam? 4 or 5-speed?
(I think I owe you $20CDN. The post office won't do international money orders. Do you have a Bitcoin public address?)

Cam gave me 2-3 mpg.
Top gave me ~3. Only half my commute distance being on the highway.
Warm air intake & grill block maybe 2.
Drag was noticeably less on the highway...there’s a long downhill stretch, and before it would slow down coasting down it. After, it picked up a couple of mph.
(Forget the money; find a way to pay it forward)

Very fun project! I'm gonna split that into its own threadlet in the aero subforum, so it's not buried here.
Funny thing is, I bet the cancer it died from was much less serious than the cancer that mine has, which someone around here will surely repair.
