Front suspension is basically done now. I just have to fit it into the car. Once that is done I will be pretty much done with the frame. I am really hoping to have it sitting on it's wheels by next weekend. That way I can roll it out of the way and get my Astro in there to finally mount the turbo on it so it will be ready to haul the car to Geopalooza.
I am not sure about the batteries so I will just wait and try and figure that out later. It looks like to get a decent amount of power out of lithium batteries I would end up spending like $5,000 on them. and it would end up being only about half the weight of AGM type batteries. It isn't worth that much money to only save 150lbs in a car.
The car is coming out much lighter than I thought it was. With the front end out I can grab the frame and lift the car off the rack without much trouble. The front end has probably lost 100lbs of steel since it no longer has to survive pulling wheelies off the line. I will really have to find a set of scales after I am done to see what the total weight actually is.
