That is an interesting project. I do not think that I had seen this thread before. All that has been on his YouTube channel in the past three years were a few choral videos and he has not answered any questions.

I did not watch the videos, but it looks like he took a hatchet to the Festiva.

I also have a D950 which is currently in my lawn mower. I need to retire the mower and find something to put the d950 in to daily drive. However I'm afraid it would be a slug bug even in something like festiva because I have lots of steep hills and tight curves. Can't get half decent mileage in anything I drive and afraid a D950 even turbo wouldn't be enough power to be satisfactory. Plus my countryside is littered with deer, would total a small economy car...

Maybe the D950 would be OK in a Beetle or a small buggy.
