I agree! However, my wife has a stipulation on the Family Car; it must seat at least or more than 7 souls. We have three kids (11,9,&7) and she likes to haul other people around, too. The Vibe was getting on her nerves 'cause it only seats five. The Pilot was the only Honda that met those specs, but is unfortunately out of our price range.

I picked up on something driving in to work this morning. The Vibe requires you to pick your foot off the accelerator a full beat before pushing in the clutch. Otherwise you get a big RPM rise between shifts. This is a totally different technique compared to the Accord. Maybe due to the Accord being carburated vs. the Vibes fuel injection? I'll get the hang of this Vibe yet...

Could you pick up a used engine and drop it in Goldie? I have known people who have gotten used low mileage engines from Japan.

haha. A scooter with nitrous. That would be fun. Not real practical in the winter, however.

I've really wanted to build a tadple for a long time. I think this may be my opportunity. At first I thought about using Goldies drivetrain, but I want to do it right (by my standards) and use a 1.0 L Metro drivetrain.
I'm thinking I'll part out the Accord to fund it. Or at least get it started...
I think I've even got my wife convinced that building one is a good thing. As the married fellas know, that's a big percentage of the project right there.

Sure, I could, but; (A) I have very limited funds. Don't we all. I blame the kids. and (2) Goldie is now an unneeded, extra vehicle. I see no need to spend a bunch of money to get a very rusty '88 accord back on the road. Have I mentioned how rusty she is?
I'm pretty sure I can best 40mpg in the Vibe. To me, the Accord is a resource to be liquidated to fund a more funner project.
That's my state of mind at this hour, anyway. If you wait, it may change...
