I was able to get a whole Club Car golf Cart, with it's rear axle and controls, so I'm going to use those to start. It will save a lot of time and money rounding up all of those parts.

The big need there is for a metal donut that would adapt the Toyota output shaft to VW CV joint and axle. IIRC the requirement would have the one parts bolt heads buried under the other part or studs or something.
