I like it. I was watching Pinks the other night, and they had a guy with a gold early 1970s (?) Malibu two door station wagon. It looked like he chopped out the back doors and shrunk it, but it sure was sexy.

In the '64, '65 Chevelles, the 2 dr. wagons only came in the base 300 form.
Can you share a link for that '70's custom?

I think a custom '70 Chevelle Nomad in 2 dr form with the Concours trim,( not estate which
means the fake wood treatment) would be cool even with some classic mini chrome bars
on the tailgate as per the tri years!

I searched all over Google for a picture of that car, and couldn't find it. I did remember that it wasn't Pinks, it was Pass Time on Speed Channel.

It was closest to the center gold one in LarryBuck's post #97. But not quite. I've searched high and low...

Fair blows the wind for France

You know the chap's chances of mating have just risen by his choice of steed

DS Convertible - oof

And finally (well nearly) the Citroen CX 25 GTI Turbo 2 (note the long name)

And now an even longer one - The Citroen CX 25 DTR Safari Turbo 2

I would love one of these with a 2.0 HDI - 136hp.

Larry perhaps you would like the Vista cruiser

I believe it was named after the Vista Dome trains a few years earlier. Of course the car didn't have frank seating in the upper level

When I was 10 my parents took the family on tour of the west in one of them. Probably spent 7 days on a train just like this.

Arragonis: any cd factor estimates on that safari wagon?
Varn: Thanks...the Vista Cruisers are cool, I prefer the lighter '65, '65 versions, and even
the Buick Sport wagons...'64, '65, over that!

I owned a '65 special (lesser model) that looked just like this color, and all.
(minus sport window, and of course non aero roof rack) too bad was a non runner. I picked it up from impound yard, after seeing it broke down on the I-205 bridge 2 weeks earlier between Vancouver, and Portland.

Now this is a '64 Special that was customized into a 2dr. I love the clean look!
Of all the GM models around this vintage, the bumpers flow with the body better than the rest in my mind.Of course the ugly gas filler door would have to go!!! The left taillight should be hinged for that instead. Oh yes, I DO
have opinions!!!

I had trouble finding a close up enough picture of the clean design taillights!
The '64,'65 Olds in VC, or Cutlass/F85? form are the same.

The '68,'69 Buick wagons do nothing for me at all! Same vintage 2HT leaves me cold except if aero front end matched aero rear with the factory rear skirts.

As an Ecomodder now; sort of hard to think of the Vista, or the Sport as we know that is heavy glass up high, and more mass, right?

Fun discussion!!!!
