Greetings from DC

Well, after reading an article about hypermiling in the Washington Post, and finding your site in it, I decided to come on over and find all what hypermiling is about. As you can tell, I live in DC. Other than driving, I enjoy BJJ, soccer, and playing Xbox.

Hi, Ingsoc - what are you driving?

The Post article was kind of funny - written by someone who admittedly knows nothing about driving, and doesn't even like to do it. And on top of that, didn't see any special results after hitting the road with her hypermiling "expert"!

We had tried to connect the writer with one of our members in VA, but I guess it was too far/too late. Too bad!

Thanks for the warm welcome. I drive a Toyota Sienna LE (mini-van.) The commute, on a good day, is 30 minutes of hell in and out of DC. But I do a lot of out-of-state driving too, about once a month.

The post article was good as an introduction. I can agree that it didn't have a lot of info, but that worked out great, IMHO.
