newbie, lurking..looking to learn

hello all..

like this group.
I am interested in gadgets that can keep us from buying foreign oil.
Also am interested in GREENTech..
That is GREEN that does not require ( or ay least minimes ) our TOXIC footprint.
Rechargegable batteries and such are TOXIC.. Like Lithium, Manganese etc batteries ( an the like ) should be researched... very toxic.

Anybody else looking to keep our BlueMarble green?? NOT just a little green buy clear and BLUE?

First off, welcome to the site. I hope you don't mind, but I made you a separate intro thread so you can be greeted properly.

I think you'll find that if you do any research on batteries, you will also find that they are very recyclable. While they do have toxic chemicals in them, they can be reprocessed and reused. I would hardly call them toxic as an end product.

blue and clear... clean technology please

lemon juice ..copper etc.
not practical but is greener than the Lithium , cadmium etc. not green.

Anyone know cost of fuelcells?
That technology has been around for several decades.
Co-gen aparatus has made it to consumers

But VERY expensive.
I really like the Geometro sidecar I saw on this forum.
Wish it could be mated to a fuelcell...hybryd and clean??!!
make it better ( cleaner would be cool too )

I am scared of GREEN..
Is it me or do I see corporate greed when GREEN is rubberstamped on everything the eye can see.

I wish Tucker has surviving relatives to continue his work.
We might have had 100MPG Suv's that are past green.. and gone BLUE
