Posts on another forum about this revealed a level of ignorance that reaffirmed why I disrespect the average Joe so; you should have seen all the doofs carrying on like the next and only pickup truck on the market would be a Prius with a box.

Or does the average guy care more about a "luxurious" interior and whether or not the damn thing matches their shoes than how much it costs to fuel up?

From my observations, the average individual is less concerned about fuel efficiency than are most trucking companies.

They might be fully aware of how much their current trucks are using but when they go to replace their existing trucks do they have any way to find out how much that new truck will use, any way for them to compare one truck to another?

Remember when the Feds started regulating emissions and mpgs on cars? Remember cat converter "test pipes"? What happened?

What happened is we got exponentially better fuel injected engines waaaaaay before we would have, had there been only market forces. I don't hear too many longing for the days of carburetors anymore.
