I love books! They create such beautiful bonfires!
[maniacal laugh]
I recently read "Holes." The school library is more homogeneous than the public library probably is, but it is a much shorter walk!
I do not recall the last time that I read a novel. It was invigorating!
Hey, isn't there a book version of "Harry Potter?"
I forget which volume was 940 pages, but I read the first 470 sitting in a lawn chair at Walmart. Then I put it back on the shelf and left as an employee yelled at me, just before closing.
People used to insist Walmart never closed. "It is called 24-hour Walmart!"
Now I need to work around their hours.
I have a number of old books that I picked up somewhere. I have always planned on reading them and then recycling them or something, but I always feel too busy to read, and then keep up-to-date here, research interests, etc.
I listened to a Dave Ramsey book and an abridged version of "Seven Habits" that included an even more abridged version of "The Eighth Habit." I enjoyed them. I listened to a book or two through Librivox, but it is free, and you get what you pay for. I wish I knew how to make better use of the ten hours that I drive each weekend, but often audiobooks make me feel sleepy!
That public library would probably be useful...
