Hello!

Hello!

I guess its obvious why i joined. I drive a 97 Toyota Corolla with a 1.8L and of course 5 speed transmission. I am one of those fuel wasting people who go fast just to stop at next light and im aware of it. But i think its time to take advantage of the fuel sipping car i have and learn some techniques. I am trying but man its hard... not to mention having to be very defensive on the road... Anyways thats enough talking. Nice to meet you!

Vacuum gauges suck (NPI). The ScanGauge is hard to beat! A bit pricey, but it definitely will save you $ .

The "heavy foot" cure? Simple...just imagine a raw egg between your right shoe and the gas pedal...and don't crush the egg! Keep the revs down - way down. You'll like what you get .... -whitevette

Welcome to EM! Do you have a baseline MPG? If you don't, maybe drive "midnightmach normal" to establish your pre-Ecomodder MPG. That way, once you're ecomodding, you'll appreciate the payoff at the pump even more.
