What type of trucking applications are you talking about?

Towing/Hauling?

The VQ37 is a pretty strong motor, and runs a VVEL (variable valve timing) setup for a broader torque curve and better throttle response. But at the moment, Nissan/Infiniti is only using it in the Sport/Touring/Crossover SUV lineup (370Z, G37, M37, EX37, FX37).

But given the fact it makes 350 @ 7,000 RPM and 276 lb/ft @ 5,200 RPM in the NISMO 370Z version of the engine, it seems like it would do well.

Yeah, that's what I mean.

The VVEL should produce some good HP numbers on the highway for trucks.

Who knows, maybe they will put in a few trucks next year?

I do not know if they will go with the 3.7L in the trucks.

The First Generation Frontier used a 3.3 lither V6, and the current models us a 4.0L.

The current Frontiers are rated at a Towing capacity: 6500 lb with the 4.0 L.
The VQ40DE, is the standard engine, produces a 265 hp and 284 lb/ft of torque.

Really? A 4.0L version of the famed 3.7L 370Z Nissan block in the Frontier?

Oh my how does it sound?

Does it come in a manual?

Geez... the racing blood is pumping again!
