On the lower block, I wonder if you'd be better off with a single opening of the same area as all those wee holes, drag wise.

Ah, thanks for that - I am not entirely happy with the current grille block and would like to try another, more flexible material such as ABS plastic. I have been looking at older Micras and may get a smoother front bumper.

In other news, I've been doing a bit of EOC on some parts of my daily commute. I'm not sure of the effect on fuel efficiency though, the needle seems to move south quicker. Also, made a motorway trip last weekend driving over to East Sussex. Put 8 litres in and easily drove some 93 miles on that before putting more fuel in on the return journey, so very pleased even though I was harrassed by an idiot truck driver on the M23 near Gatwick - even though he had two lanes to overtake. I was doing around 55mph,
