The Executive - '02 Lincoln LS V8 LSE Package w/Spoiler
Thanks: 0
Thanked 0 Times in 0 Posts
Hello from Minnesota!@@!!

I have an 02 Lincoln LSE V8. I love my car, and hate the mileage! I have to use premium gasoline or it will blow up! (not really) I plan on getting a CAI with a K&N cone filter to increase power and air flow. I also plan on getting some cherry bombs thrown on later this year too.

Welcome to EM LincolnLSguy!

I highly suggest you read a bit more on this board if you are interested in modding for fuel economy. The two mods you have suggested have been proven not to increase mileage. Check out 60+ Vehicle modifications for better fuel economy - EcoModder.com for mods that are proven to work.

Also, check out 100+ hypermiling / ecodriving tips to increase gas mileage - EcoModder.com for an easier and cheaper way to increase mileage. The majority of our users see their largest gains from changing their driving habits.

My bosses wife has a simaler car to what you have and I've driven it a number of times, what gets you the best gas mileage is taking advantage of the engines extream low end torque, a cold air intake and wide open exhaust will destroy that, you want to keep that engine running as slow as possible as much of the time and your mileage will go up.

Am I just a cynic, or doesn't anybody else see the OP simply as a blatant plug for another web site?

A Lincoln with Cherry Bombs- classy. Maybe it should be lifted and add mudders and a gun rack?

Only after throwing the generator in the trunk to power the home window A/C unit that's duct taped in the passenger rear window!
