Hello from Scotland.
I have always tried to drive economically, but since buying an old Honda Jazz, last year, it has started to become an obsession. Now my wife has started to look at me askance when I freewheel over a crest at 10 mph!
I have only started the freewheel lark about a fortnight ago, but I am beginning to know what roads are best for it and what roads to avoid.
I am looking forward to picking up tips and tricks from the experienced frugal drivers here.

Yes, the Jazz is the Euro Fit. Kirkcaldy, where I live is about 90 miles from Prestwick. I take it you are a guitar man and a MacAulay?

I have built a couple of Teles. One in Swamp Ash (Avatar) and one in Walnut (more of an Esquire as it has a single humbucker bridge pickup).

Welcome to the site. Yes it can certainly become an obsession always trying for a new high score.
Do you have any mods planned?

I wouldn't know where to start with mods. I'll read the links and see what is feasible (and affordable). I was thinking of fitting some form of instantaneous fuel consumption read out. My Jazz has a trip fuel consumption display, but not the instantaneous one fitted to later models. I fancy a Scangauge, but on a pension it is rather pricey.

I use the ELM 327 bluetooth adapter that plugs into the obd port, I personally use Dash Command on Android phone to connect to it and a lot of people use the Torque app.
Adapters can be had for as cheap as $10USD or a better quality one for $25-30USD, I have the better one after going through 3 cheap ones!
Unfortunately I have no experience with the Iphone connectivity but have heard it uses a Wifi adapter of the same type instead of bluetooth

Bit the bullet and, after watching some rather poor videos on YouTube and downloading and reading the manual, I ordered a ScanGauge E. Hoping it will pay for itself over the next year or so.
