Hello from St. Louis...

Hey folks. Found the site browsing google for DIY options. Recently acquired a 93 Honda Accord and it needs alot of work. I think any work worth doing is worth doing well, including add the eco-friendly bells and whistles. So I'm here for some help and guidance in what to do where. Also, I'm no mechanic, this is my first endeavor into working on a car, and my brother via long distance along with my Haynes manual can only get me so far, so I'm counting on you guys and any local STL partners to lend a hand. Maybe. I wouldn't, but maybe you are a nicer person than I am. Ha!

Not yet. I'm sure it's pretty bad. The entire exhaust system needs to be replaced, and I have an issue with my fuel injection as well. I probably need some sensors replaced and I have a tube running from the IAB that is supposed to goto a vacuum tank but I haven't been able to figure out where that is yet. The idle is bad, it burns oil and coolant, I have nice blue and grey smoke pouring out of my 'fart can' that some dumb kid installed on it... It's a mess, hence the name, "Nightmare". So... I'm going to just work on it piece by piece and slowly learn how to be a mechanic with books, the internet, and friends/family and maybe it will turn into a mean machine one day. I'm going to fill up the tank and tires tonight and mark the mileage, then I'll be able to give a guesstimate as to what kind of mpg I'm getting before work is done. I'll be posting actively as time goes by...

Oh, and thanks for the warm welcome folks. :P
