Better yet, I bought it used with new batteries and all the street mods needed for $2,400. Cheapest transportation I've found, and definitely a good investment because all our shopping and fast food places are within it's range, even the bait and tackle shop is within range!

Still cool about the golf cart. And not a bad price either

Have something to say... my lady said she would divorce me if I tried to make an EV, so I guess I won't be around anymore. Thanks to everyone for your kindness and all your help.

Keep on Modding

Check with your local Dept. of Motor Veh. and find out if they have a law allowing golf carts on streets. If you are an activist, here is a link to our law that you can model one for your city and give to the local council. Then you don't have to build one for your local neighborhood travel and grocery shopping.

Hey man... Thanks for giving me some hope to at least have "some" fun. Plus, that gives me a reason to stick around. I've really been enjoying myself here on this forum. I will check with the laws and see if you can make a golf cart street legal and I'll tell you what I find out.

Thanks a bunch!

I deleted a post when I saw that, but you're still here. Then I blew half a day looking for some pictures I took about 10 years ago. So I guess it didn't happen. Anyway, it was a Model T high-boy roadster with a golf cart rear axle with an integrated electric motor and about 12 batteries. It had car size wheels and tires. I recall a 45mph top speed, but don't remember the range.

Here's a tip: Chicks dig rat rods:

Thank you Freebeard.Great video! I'm a Lambo lover for sure. When I had a Fiero (many moons ago), they had a Lambo kit for it. Never had the money though... the story of my life. And yea, I'm going to stick around. I have fun looking and reading no matter what. We're looking for a house to buy, so I can't do anything until we get moved in. Have a nice one to look at tomorrow on a little over an acre. Time for a riding lawn mower... hmmmm, lol

What if you made a fun time EV? Like a go kart? That had everything needed to drive legally on the road...hmm...

Go Kart Kits :: Cart Carts Karts Gocart Gokart Gokarts Gocarts Azusa Vintage

Or craigslist. But you can get crafty and make something fun that works as a project, learn and build, and then slowly maybe it grows or turns into something else.

When negotiating, "No" often means "I don't understand." I find, in my experience, slowly informing someone in a welcoming way helps them become comfortable [with new ideas or concepts]- some amazing things can happen that way.

What about an ebike? Mine ended up costing about $1000 (not including the bike, which can range from free to thousands of dollars). 25-30mph and about 25-30 mile range.
