Brick: I'd be wary of A-B-A that spans any time period greater than, well, an hour. How are you going to control for seasonal changes?

Yup, Minitab. (One of the few useful things to come out of our Six Sigma push.)

I will be at N. Myrtle Beach next weekend. I do most of my testing there, on Rt 22. Let me know if you can join me.
You know, it sounds like fun and might actually work out. The only thing that might hold me back is work but odds are low that I would actually have to go in. Maybe I'll get back to you a bit later in the week?

You can't control seasonal changes, so the plan is to iterate more than once while things are changing. Along with fuel economy, I record whatever I think would impact a given trip...temperature, precipitation, whether the engine is warm from a prior trip, etc. If there is a genuine effect, it should show up in the distribution.

If I had my choice I would be testing on an instrumented research engine. So if anybody has access to one of those, let me know where to send the plugs when I'm done!
