welcome to the forum derzp.

good to have another person from melbourne here, i keep telling people the things i am doing to my car and they all think im insane, maybe you will become another "insane" person in this area.

There are a few really good threads on aero and some people with simulation software. There are quite a few engineers in the forums too so hopefully they know what they are talking about.

are you looking to mod your car / improve your efficiency or just looking for some real world aero applications?

thanks for the welcome. i don't know much about hypermilling but just read the 100 tips and realise i do a lot of that stuff naturally...i really like to save fuel.

but i'm more here for some real world aero apps cos i'm very interested in stuff like that (reducing drag coefficients etc). i'm doin my phd on reducing drag on truck-trailers...

Welcome, Derz, and I hope you can make a few posts in the Aero forum yourself. If you can develop an economical way to retrofit a truck-trailer for better aero, that'll save far more fuel than anyone here burns in a year.
