Hi! New member. 2000 Honda Insight.

Hello. I made a long post as my first post in Aerodynamics about my full boat tail project. It was lost. Lesson learned. This will be a test. The boat tail is 32 inches long and made with aluminum angle and skins of aluminum trim coil. This is the stuff you bend up and trim around the windows on your house. I found some on clearance at Lowe’s. I started on April 18 and am fitting the skins now. I am using aircraft tools and rivets. It looks better than you would think. I spent a lot of time lining up the stringers so I could use flat metal.

That's all simple curves? It looks good so far.

It used to be that it took 5 or more posts to be able to post pics. The mods move in mysterious ways.

Just finished drilling the upper left side skin. All simple curves. Every point on the back of the original car body is continued back without a change in direction. It is as if Honda intended the car to be finished in this manner.
