My cousin collapsed a rim on his chinese-made mountain bike by hitting a pothole with a fat kid on his pegs. When I load my road bike up with 50lbs of cargo and set my 150lb frame on it, I worry about the load rating of my rear tire and axle.
Wow! Massive but looks like foam blanks, but I bet he gets his greatest work on the resulting air drag & counter-balancing his load from crosswinds. I don't see much tire deflection/compression on that other huge load. I could 'see' it now, the ridiculous stacking/packaging & straining load limits on the new TaTa Nano.
