Honda Civic HX for sale?

I am interested in possibly getting one as a first car. I would like to know if anyone on here has one or knows someone who has one that has 100k or less miles on it. Less than 100k and manual highly preferred.

You will probably have better luck just finding a 5 speed civic in general and putting 9% larger tires on it. 6th Gen civics in good shape are basically unicorns now.

Or better yet install a 92-95 Civic CX/VX transmission.

As much as I prefer alternatives to social media, Facebook is the place to find one. Join an interest group. I follow an EG/EH hatch group, and people are always linking clean and low mile VX/CX for sale. I imagine there's something equivalent for the 6th gen HX. I believe that chassis code is EJ7?

EDIT: Were I in the market for a first car, I would strongly consider a Honda Fit, especially one brought up from somewhere south of where roads are salted in winter. We've seen trips of 55mpg or higher in our 2007 Fit. The interior is roomy and comfortable, the cargo they can carry is insane, parts are cheap, and there is still a lot of low-hanging fruit in terms of modifications to improve economy. I'm also a fan of anything that doesn't have a distributor or have a nest of vacuum lines. Not that an HX isn't an awesome choice.

That attitude is why Facebook continues to be a problem. Possibly the problem.

Cryptinox -- Thanks for asking here. Best luck.

My recollection is that most some people burn through their first car pretty quickly. Someone near to you is having to let go of a car they never wanted to, that they've babied all it's life, because they need to (various reasons). You might find that car and accept it for whatever it is; and start up the learning curve.

A shame we're not before the internet anymore.

My ex-father-in-law [RIP] scored a 13-window walk-through VW bus for $25 for our wedding present. Growing family so I pulled the engine out of my only Beetle.

There was always a battle between good and evil. Internet just shone a light on it.
