Honda D16Y7 lean burn?

First post!
I have searched ecomodder forum as well as google. If this is in the wrong section, please move it. When searching, all I have found are people posting about the hx/vx using lean burn.

Can the D16Y7 motor lean burn?
2000 civic lx, 5 speed.
The vehicle also says it has california emissions when I look under the hood.

Thanks!

Nope. I have one. Nope. Only the D16y5 and maybe the y8, both of which were vtec engines. And the 1992-1995 VX and maybe EX. But the D16y7 went into 1996-2000 LX and DX trims... no lean burn. Nope. Nope.

My minimum fuel economy goal is 55 mpg while averaging posted speed limits. I generally top 60 mpg. See also my Honda manual transmission specs thread.

Nope, and it never will. Lean burn was only available in obd2a form and your car is obd2b.

D16y5, d15z1 were the only stand alone motore non hybrid to use lean burn here in the us

Thanks for the replies.
Looking forward to gaining those sweet miles (without lean burn!). I pull an average of 42mpg already. Can only go up from there!
