Installed some manual lockers. Yup, very simple and straight forward. transfer cases engages or disengages from drive shaft. It leads to the front diff. The auto lockers were like bicycle clutches so the wheels free wheel unless the axle shaft is spinning by way of the transfer case. So you could ditch the case and get a longer drive shaft to save some weight and or use it to house the electric motor to spin as well as regen from the front axle.

As a side note need to check its performance. I had a supercharged tacoma with the v6 and it was awesome.
