Honda Insight Wheels
I was just checking www.car-part.com because a friends car had the hood crushed by ice falling off a roof, and I checked the avaliblity of honda insight wheels, turns out there is a junk yard in Minneapolis that has 3 of them for $55 each, I bet they would give a price brake if someone bought all three, this is less then some people are trying to sell civic vx rims for! and for more aerodynamic wheels that I think weight slightly less then vx rims, and for sure less then hx rims... I might just have to get a set for my self!
I also checked on 2005 civic hybrid rims, and civic hx rims nothing close to me, but there are some good deals in other states.

They are a good choice. Im trying to score just 2 vx wheels because
A)I already have two
B) My tires are near new, and going to 14" is more money.
I have seen some on craigslist time to time, but i skip them because of above tire situation.

I'm nearly positive the Insight/Civic Hybrid rims are heavier than both VX and HX rims, could be wrong though.

I've wondered about the vx wheels thing for a while. When i got my civic, it came with these wheels:
Are they original vx wheels or not? Is there a range of vx wheels available. By the way, if anyone wants some VX parts, i'll be scrapping this baby in the next 12 months. I know, its a crime against humanity but i gotta remain legal with the rear seatbelt thing. I need to put three booster seats in there! I was thinking of putting it in storage to "do her up" but i gotta be realistic. Man i love that car!

That's not a VX... at least by U.S. standards.
The Enkei produced VX rims look like this:

VX is just badging, I wouldn't worry about it.
For the sake of argument you do have a VX, because it falls into the same chassis code (EG/EH) and production years (92-95) and has the same engine. But in the US the VX was limited to the hatchback variant, while in the world market I guess the engine was offered in sedans and coupes as well.

with my mods so far i can see where i may need to go up to 14" and LLR tires to improve the gearing.. as of now it so easly drives at hiway speeds with its stock 13" 165's, once there worn out ill go to 155's but there is only like .08 difference in size on those.. not much or a end gearing difference.. the next logical step would be a bigger rim.. well see what the areo mods bring, the latest mode made a pretty big difference on the vacuum gauge, I was expecting very little change..
the one other thing i saw is some one found 135-13's but didnt see the over all tire height.. if there the same as the stock 165-70's that would provide the biggest improvemnt in MPG.. its been well documented that tire width makes a big impace.. however can cause some negative handling problems if the cars to heavy for the tire size, but considering I'm in a CRX thats the weight of a geo and they had those little 12" tires i thing i could pull off 135's safely.

I'm pretty sure vx rims are 9-9.5 lbs each, hx rims are around 11lbs each, insight rims are around 9-10lbs each and are more aerodynamic.
135 R13 tires are smaller around then 165/70 R13 tires, I think the 135 R13 tires might be as small as 20.8" but I don't have that in front of me at this time.

Really curious now, where did you find that weight spec?
