An interesting thought about the twin engine system, it helps mpg in two possible ways:
1 the gas engine is for more power, and the diesel is for low-speed efficiency (like the
EV-only driving capable in my Prius).
2 the exhaust fumes from the gasoline engine might power the diesel engine (sounds
far-out, but so did flying 120yrs ago).
