How to choose a used IMA battery pack for Honda Insight 1stGen at the junk yard.

I need to purchase a functional ima battery for my Insight. My local junk yard has several of them. I am planning on going there on Monday, but how to choose the best pack? Is there a way to help my selection process?

Any hints will be highly appreciated!

Typically you check random cells to see if they are within a range of .02 volts between max and minimum meaning they are balanced in capacity during discharge.

Without long testing through several cycles, that is the best you can do other than ensuring the pack is above recommended storage minimums for the cell chemistry/count.

Fla you could check the negative most batteries but that isn't relavant any more
