Ultarc - Have a couple pics of your spoiler?

Not that mine was necessarily similar, but I did an ababababa test that wound up with a whole .02% advantage in favor of no spoiler. I think the 5lbs I lost is probably worth more than the aero. Arcosine tuft tested his too and didn't see any issues. Plus my trunk never falls on me anymore...

Is what it looks like. My post with the vehicle ministry link shows what looks like my vehicle, and makes it seem like it is slightly better WITH fin than without.

Wouldn't be surprised if it actually helps some.
I've wondered if the center 2' of mine helped, but the 6" on either end erased everything good. Radioranger - I'm still thinking about a lip spoiler myself, something more similar to the civic hybrid

I could probably build one up out of foil duct tape and see if it lays flat on the highway run to work then pull it off before it really glues itself on.

Not sure who or if this help on such a long thread but i played with mine and found it tuft tested best with my OE spoiler moved forward and up to edge of rear glass.
Before any crazy responses about boat tails and parachute effect is revisited this was my results . Your own results may differ because I did not mind drilling 20 holes into my trunk lid to test it. Good luck!

sounds like your coming close to the rear window spoiler on the scorpio, I watched some tufts of pollen flowing back up the rear window from the bottom edge the other day , guess all this pollen is good for something ! I think maybe the Saab style of base of rear window spoiler would be the way to go

There are a variety of spoilers available for the Miata that similar to the lime-green line I've drawn below. My very limited understanding of this thread and aerodynamics tells me one of these would be beneficial for drag. Is this correct? If so would it be more ideal for the spoiler to taller/shorter, steeper/shallower?
