Just put the url in. No need for the tags. Atleast that's what Jakobnev posted.

This forum uses a rather odd dialect of vbulletin.

Good point, you don't need a land fill when you dump your garbage in the ocean.
The United States learned that was a stupid idea back in the 1960s and stopped. The ign't foreigners can't seem to figure it out.

That (youtubin') is supposed to work, but why not just use the button?
My conjecture is that it's browser specific. I'm using Brave.

Well I just posted this in the Bolt forum. I had mentioned watching a commercial advertising that a portion of the amount I overpay for their product would go towards removing plastic from the ocean. No thanks, but I might be tempted if the amount I overpay goes to punch people in the face that put the plastic in the ocean.

Top five out of how many countries and you could (metaphorically) throw a rock from one to the next.
Must be something in the water over there.

Agreed, picking it up doesn't solve the problem.

Depending on political inclinations and influences, we see ignorant people often blaming the USA as if it was inherently evil, even though sometimes the European Union pushes for a stupid agenda instead of looking for simpler ways to overcome some environmental issues. And unfortunately, nowadays most of the mistakes done in Europe are regarded as the best approach in other regions.

Most "solutions" I see are Rube Goldberg contraptions meant to be as complex as possible. Often they involve trying to put a fire out by throwing gasoline on it, or pretending the fire isn't there.

And as their complexity grows, so does the cost...

Here's how Oregon is going to solve climate change.
Introduce a 1% sales tax on vehicle purchases from dealerships; the only sales tax we have. Use that money to offer a $2,500 rebate for those who purchase a new EV. Certain modest income people can get $2,500 for purchasing a used EV, but there's more paperwork involved with that, as you need to prove you don't have any money
In the end, EV prices are a bit higher here than elsewhere because demand is higher because we subsidize EVs.
...and that's why Oregonians don't need to fear climate change anymore. Problem solved.
