How valuable is a CRX HF w/ d15z1 engine swap?

Hey guys, I have a 1991 Honda CRX HF, 280k miles, that is stock except for eibach lowering springs, KYB GR2 struts, and civic VX wheels, I average 50mpg. I just came across a deal on a Prius that I could not pass up, so I am probably going to sell the CRX. My question is about the value of a mostly stock CRX compared to a CRX with a d15z1. I already have all of the parts to do the swap except for the patch harness to go from OBD0 to OBD1. I am familiar with swapping engines and I am sure I could do this swap in a weekend or so, but I am wondering if it would be worth it. I will post some pictures when I get a chance but my CRX is in similar condition to others that I see on the road. A little bit of rust in the rear wheel arches, messed up front fenders, and a different color hood

So in your opinion how much is my CRX worth?:

1) My CRX in the condition described above?

2) My CRX in the condition described above with a good running d15z1 swap?

3) How much is the swap alone worth? Engine with correct manifolds, egr stuff, ecu, engine wiring harness?

I'm pretty sure that the stock CRX + the engine and pieces is worth more than a swapped CRX is.

But no, I don't have numbers for you. You might try asking on the crxcommunity.com BBS.

I am guessing that the car as it sits is worth 1.5k at the most, that's my best guess.

Then the swap is probably worth 5-600...again just my guess. So that would put everything around 2 grand if I sell it in pieces the way it sits. Is a CRX with a d15z1 worth 3K? Does anyone have experience selling one?

Most of your market will be people who want to drop a B16 in it anyway. I'd sell the motor separately.

Very true. I was hoping to hear from someone that may have sold a d15z1 swapped crx before. I don't know how sought after they are either.

swapping engines on a car doesn't tend to increase it's value with all else being the same and if the engine swap was not done perfectly it would tend to devalue the car.

With 280,000 miles and some rust, you might be able to get $1,200, if it feels solid and is nice and smooth, you might be able to get $1,500 but you are not going to get very many people to show up to look at it with 280,000 miles and a higher asking price.

I hear what you are saying, I just though the CRX HF with a D15z1 was kinda like a unicorn swap, but from the comments so far I am thinking not so much. Thanks for your input.

Heck, I'd be interested in it if I didn't have my Insight, but I'm in the minority here.
