I read some of the documentation around US8616175. The language is remarkably obtuse, are all patents written that way?
If anyone is so inclined, you can completely circumvent his patent protection by applying the "technology" to a single-cylinder engine, which type is specifically excluded by the patent's wording.
It looks like a different way of applying hybrid drive to a vehicle, mostly by stuffing the hybrid bits completely inside the block. Okay, that's a little interesting but not exactly earth shattering.
He got banned for blowing his horn last time, you'd think he might get the hint.

Look Ma no block.

Yes. What people don't often realize is that Patents do NOT have to be either FUNCTIONAL or PHYSICALLY realizable...they ONLY have to be FULLY described (verboise), in legalease terms.

OK after reading DP's patent US8616175 I have a question???
I'm not good at reading legal terms, but what part of his patent is protected?
He has a ton of descriptions of products that are already produced and sold that he writes about in his patent????
IMHO I believe his inventions is just a bunch of "smoke and mirrors" but after reading his patent there is so much smoke I can't see the mirrors? lol
