We just got back from the 1.5hr trip back from the dealer. The wife got to drive the Prius back, and I got the Paseo. She said she set the cruise @ 60 mph, turned on the AC and radio, and the MFD said she was getting ~60 mpg the majority of the time. I can tell I'm gonna love this car.

That is a great start bro! How bad did you want to drive that buggy home...must have killed you! Can't wait to see what kind of numbers you pull in that thing!

Yeah, I really did wanna drive it home, but the numbers worked out the other way. She can't pull 60+ mpg in the Paseo, and I probably can't get that much more than she'd get in the Prius. So, I got the Paseo.
I also don't have a scangauge for the Prius yet. I have my only SG in the Paseo atm. I'll be moving it over shortly I hope. I know its pretty critical for super highway mode, acceleration, and getting through the warm up stages.

How's the Prius boat-tail coming?
(Just kidding. I know it's not on the list.)

It is most definitely a Hybrid Allure
I would love to get one. Theres one in my area with 70k for 11G
But I cant justify the price against cheaper cars such as the crx/civic/echo.
Must save for the house FIRST.
(nice house > nice car)

Daox,
On my ecomodder Prius thread PA Prius is reporting 60+ mpg highway with the cruise set and AC on. My buggy is so base I don't even have cruise! I struggle on highway driving (max 58 mpg) and have been using IGN timing on the SGII to get my best mpg but PA has been more successful than me with his cruise.
The biggest disadvantage I found going from the 4runner to the Prius was not being able to neutral coast at higher speeds due to potentially over spinning the engine...still working on my highway technique. But if your wife was getting 60+ mpg highway with the cruise on PA might be on to something.
Alot of guys over at priuschat have ditched the 14 IGN magic number (Super Highway Mode) on SGII and have moved on to higher mpg's using other methods. I just haven't driven that many highway miles to test it out yet. Maybe you can get it down and find a better method than SHM.

Do you have any links that describe their methods? The only other one I know of is warp stealth.

PA Prius is reporting that he only used cruise control and sometimes would drop the mph a little in cruise before going up a hill so he didn't rev the engine.
The guys on priuschat that went away from using IGN 14. I just searched through the threads I commented on for priuschat and can't find that one anywhere in there. If I remember correctly it was an Xguage they set up to monitor fuel injection. I'll see if I can find that thread to confirm.
