Hybrid Civic engine, steering rack, etc

I bought a 2005 Honda Civic Hybrid with 35.9k miles that was in an accident. Drove it home and decided it was too damaged for me to fix comfortably.
Here is what's left:

Complete 1.3 liter engine with IMA electric motor attached. AC compressor, starter, intake, plugs, etc all included. Also have the IMA battery box with all the controller computers but no battery. I have the engine computer, but no harness. All aluminum, timing chain (no belt), two plugs per cylinder, ultra-efficient. Could shoe-horn into an Insight or??

35.9k miles!

$450 with instrument cluster, computer, and IMA battery box/computers.




Electric steering rack, looks new, with tie rods. Perfect for EV! With wiring connectors.

I am near San Luis Obispo and drive to the San Francisco Bay Area a couple times a month...so I could deliver along that route.

If it is to remain a hybrid, you'll need everything from the high voltage box in the back: battery, two computers, inverter, DC/DC converter.

If not, you'll need to find a spot to attach an alternator, because the car doesn't have one.

Good luck with the sale, Graham. If you weren't on the wrong coast, I'd try to buy the battery off you.

You are correct unless someone put this in an Insight or a Civic Hybrid.

-I DO have the rear IMA battery box components minus the actual battery.
The metal box has all the IMA brains in it and will go with the gas/electric motor/engine.

I'm interested in the IMA battery. What condition is it in? how much would you want for it?

The Civic engine is sold but I still have:

-steering rack, electric, perfect $100

-IMA motor, excellent working condition when pulled, $125

-2005 Civic hybrid instrument cluster and engine computer, $25 and $75

-battery sticks from a civic hybrid (2003-2005). Enough for a complete pack. All test within 1/2 volt of each other, $125 for all with case and temp strips.
