It's funny to listen to other truck drivers deliver a CB rant on driver stupidity. I'm afraid "Prius" is the new "Beetle" for Birkenstock-wearing, dirndl-skirted hairy-armpit females who just barely trundle down the entrance ramp and "merge" nearly into the front fascia of an otherwise law-abiding (and tired) big truck driver.

"Neck-bearded, tattooed and tee-shirted, wearing flip-flops, and shorts so long they were a skirt" was the other. About a "fellow truck driver". Not driving, per se, but "holding the steering wheel of a white Volvo with an automatic" (Deadly, dude, deadly: you are what you drive).

All damned funny when some of these guys get their fuses lit.

Time to festoon your Pri-ii with Grateful Dead, rainbow, unicorn, nuke the gay whales, and every other cliched image of an earth hugger bumper stickers. Mondale and Dukakis stickers. Hell, Alf Landon. Pat Paulsen.

But you remind me of the one exception to my previous post; a trucker in the middle of the night in Nevada. I brighted my lights 1/8th mile behind him, he slowed down and jumped my tail in the left lane as I went by.

That's why most of the anti-hybrid stance seems to be motivated more from political reasons than reliability records or other statistics. And you know, since the Prius and other hybrids became quite popular among lefties, it became a nearly obvious escape goat for jokes that would be labelled as "hate speech".

gas is so damn expensive here that the majority of finnish person cars are sub-2,5-liter.

a hardcore american muscle-fan in my village has a prius as a daily.

He owns a GMC Typhoon, a couple motorbikes, and at least previously a '69 or so Charger R/T

Subaru Forester: company has admitted it's THE lesbian car. And as ad focus.

A trip around New England and adjoining will make that convincing. So, yeah, the polite NE drivers don't make anything of it, but wait'll you hit Joisy. Ha!

CB is purely non PC. Funny as hell often enough. And stupidity finds its own "reward". Sort of like America used to be.

Err... They still do that about CFLs? Hereabouts it's hard to find them in stores, 'cause most everything is LED now.

Haven't done a scientific survey, but going by casually noted bumperstickers, it seems that around here expensive SUVs are more leftish than Prii.
