I learned something interesting , it took some years. this is in regards to around two liters and four cylinders...over 40mpg. I say "40" ignoring the 45-60 highway, and high 30s city...
- exhaust pulverized without high grade material
- fuel pump can be 1psi on carb models
- rear end of car rusts crazy fast (byproduct to extreme fuel burn)
- cold air intake is extremely dramatic..injected or carbed
- EGR can create a brain sickening chemistry
- steel wheels hopeless..alloys disperse yet another invisible
- very clean cabin air, seemingly cold all the freain time (no top end engine anomolies)
- inlines blow headgaskets attempting it
Anyone relate. I like no bs.
Today my car spewed a shot of diesel..never had the accidental pumping. I have concluded, if fuel molecules are too big for the jet, the return line takes it back to the tank, and it keeps doing this, until it is thin enough to squeeze through into the intake and show the black smoke...
real hypermiling...it is not all glory.
