As mentioned already,
don't worry so much about the engine with P&G.
The Metros did have some weak spots in the engine,
and it's not unheard of having to replace/rebuild them.
Try to put the tranny in neutral when the load is low,
this keeps the transition easier on the parts.
I do a long glide down my road and into my driveway every night.
Not EO tho as my civic loses steering and braking quickly without the engine running.

So the results are in! Pulse & Glide all the way to and from work today ... got 42.8 mpg, which is around 2 more mpg than yesterday's non pulse/glide commute.
