I'd assume that the under hood stuff is a warm air intake.

More specifically they won't help "there" SUV. An isuzu trooper that sounds like it needs a serious valve adjustment, tires, and misc TLC that spends its entire life beating around the city is not a good candidate to buy wheel skirts for.

I suggested they look at gassavers so I wouldn't have to yell the spelling of ecomodder over the sound of a loudly tapping isuzu at a light that was about to green up.

I see the changes also. Maybe we have reached that point where people actually care enough about FE.
Funny..it doesn't seem to effect my wife.

I think there called a step edge. Not sure though. Any sturdy right angle material will work, including a board. MY inner fenders are plastic so no rust from screw holes. I've have heard of someone using 1" poly pipe instead of angle brackets.

That alone makes up for all the work!

I have also noticed big changes in driving habits. Lot's of people on bicycles. Lot's of mopeds and scooters. People actually going the speed limits. Less traffic.

I have also noticed a lot of people crawling away from traffic lights so I have to use my brakes to avoid hitting them after having timed my approach to the light perfectly otherwise. Darned slowpokes! Also, there is nothing like following an SUV a quarter of a mile in second gear because the driver thinks he's saving gas.

At least they're thinking about FE now.
