Other than more bicyclists, nothing changed here from what I saw people driving (vehicles and habits) and with prices dropping, I expect more people to forget about the high cost of living and go back to their wasteful ways (if they're not already). It's the human entropic way of existing for the majority.

I know I didn't get into FE to save the world or my pocketbook -- I was just sick of seeing myself getting **** for mileage and couldn't figure out why. Totally selfish pride I suppose.

All the panels can be removed in less than an hour. 15 minutes on a lift. For oil and trans service there are 2 panels 16" square. To change the oil only one panel is removed. I use a small electric drill. Takes about 2 minutes. For a 2 year inspection 50% of the panels come off. I use a private lift and then drive across the street to an inspection station. I also get the alignment checked with the inspection and cry if I hit anything requiring a realignment. The mechanic I've been using actually put most of the panels back on for as a favor. I'm not sure why he only makes $12 on an inspection.

Confused...

lovemysan

I am a bit confused, I don't see any wheel skirts on your car. I see a nicely made front air dam, but no wheel skirts. Am I missing something?

Why yes I did miss something! Hadn't seen any pics of them. Nice skirts! I like the full skirt better than the half skirt. Had you had that pic posted somewhere else and I missed it? You couldn't see them in the avatar.

I am assuming that what is making up the diamond pattern in the middle of you skirts are screws or rivets. What is the purpose? Just curious. Is it part of a support or reinforcement.

Damn, you have done some serious work. Excellent job! A few questions. Was the aluminum scrap? What material is the belly pan made of aluminum or coroplast? Have you had any heat problems covering the exhaust? How long did that job take?

Glad to see you used solid concrete blocks under the tires. I have seen people use the others and collapse without warning. Lucky no one was under the car.

Bookmarked your photobucket page.

Yeah, lovemysan sets the standard. I always point to his work as an example for others.
