At least the Brazilian versions of the 2nd-generation Opel Vectra with the 2.2L engine used the F23.

Ouch! That sucks, I'm just under 3k at 75 (3k is around 80)in my base model Ion, and right at 3k in the redline at 75(with the 4.05 ratio)... Of course, that was when 5th gear still worked lol...

Gearing on their local equivalents is also too low, no wonder here in Brazil the transmissions used in GM cars are often nicknamed "coice de porco" (pig's kick) for being too short-geared.

That's why I mentioned the Cobalt XFE
I'm turning about a grand less at speed (3.63 gears)
If you could find a cheap junker or a way of retrofitting a high geared final drive

I have a set of 4.05, just have so many summer projects.... Meanwhile there is a set of 3.86 gears with my name on them.
