I found an internet gadget that writes french.

That translator you used is really bad. You might give translate.googe.com a try. I've had good luck with it in the past. In the meantime you can just post what you want to say in English and I'll translate it myself.

yahoo's BabelFish isn't much better.. It's broken, at best. Someone with a good understanding of the nuances of spoken language in general could figure it out, though.

Since I don't remember years back when I took French in HS, I can only assume you're speaking casual French here; as opposed to "book proper" French, which most translators expect to find?

I write pretty much all my articles in formal French with some figures of style now and then. Maybe the translators do not like that much.

Would you guys like to read English versions of my blog posts BTW? It's pretty much basic hypermiling stuff. I like to think of it as elaborated hypermiling tips, but maybe it could be of some interest.

Oh, I'm sure we could stand reading your posts in English proper... I listen to lectures on audio while I'm on here all night, so why not read another post detailing the things that I know, in another person's perspective?

Perspective is a very important thing, IMO. No two people will view the same set of information in exactly the same way, and when placed in someone else's perspective, a fact or tidbit may make more sense to you than in your own view.
