I have a '96 Dodge Ram (auto) and an '88 Toyota Pickup (manual).
The kicker is the 40 mile commute 6 days a week (20 miles each way).
No regrets about the distance, my wife and I wanted to live in the country and knew that we would pay for it everyday in the form of fuel, ect. I did start ecodriving the Toyota right away (after finding this site) and had a huge improvement in mileage, but nothing near what I'm already getting with the Metro. (albeit hard to know precise mpg's; see my other post in off topic tech)
Great to get involved in this community of fellow effeciency gurus!
Dodge: 14 mpg Avg. Toyota: 20 mpg Avg Metro: 40ish Avg
and i paid a whopping 750.00 for it
