I'm new here

Always liked trying to get good mileage. Have a '97 Passat TDI that has a lifetime mileage of about 46mpg, usually get over 50mpg these days. I will be using some of the tips here to improve that. Also will be working on improving my motorcycle mileage (Yamaha YZF600R).

Welcome and good luck. I have seen a few TDI owners in these pages. You'll have company, though I think you know that!

I will rebuild Black and Green over decades as parts die, until it becomes a different car of roughly the same shape and color. My minimum fuel economy goal is 55 mpg while averaging posted speed limits. I generally top 60 mpg. See also my Honda manual transmission specs thread.
