I'm not making any 19 in wheel covers, sorry.

I compared to the Tesla Model S, because why not? It's data is known.
In a month or two, I'll have actual data, so no worries.

Cars are all made with unibody construction, the Indy One will too, from fiberglass, not steel. The current vehicle has a custom steel frame which is a great way to build a 'one-off', but not the way to build a lightweight vehicle. Only 8 will be made with carbon fiber, the standard vehicles will use e-glass composite.

Awe, okay What would be the cost for just a 15, and would you make any other sizes?

Why not? Lol, the Tesla Model S is a 60k+ rear wheel drive luxury vehicle...the furthest EV from your project. It is very heavy, and a 5 person ride in comfort and luxury, brimmed with cutting edge technology. Why not use the Leaf, of MiEV, or 500E, Spark EV, so on?

There is another alternative, basalt.

Basalt Guru, your source for basalt information and products.

Materials made of basalt fiber have higher impact resistance and toughness and have shock-absorbing characteristics as well. Basalt fiber is eco-friendly and doesn’t emit any harmful chemicals into the water or air. It also has a higher strength-to-weight ratio, which makes the outer parts of the car (bumpers, spoilers, etc.) stronger and lighter.

Due to such impressive properties, basalt fiber is used to manufacture bulletproof vests. These materials are also widely spread in the aviation and space industry. This is extremely important for the production of car components in order to ensure safety in the event of a crash.

"Man in Garage Takes on Tesla" should compare his car to a Tesla.
A stark contrast makes for a dramatic statement of a clear alternative.

We discussed this before, Basalt is very expensive relative to e-glass,
If something is going to be expensive, go all the way with carbon fiber.

Where did that come from? Lol, but then why not save all those batteries, electricity, and materials, and sell bicycles?

I just can't draw any connection between the two, nor do I understand in the slightest how this relates in any way to Tesla.

I second the insight 14" disc wheels and p165/65 Potenzas, that's a combo that can't be beat for efficiency.
