freebeard - that photo is the Vincent Black Lightning speed record, which help for about 20 years. The rider had tried with his leathers on (in a standard tuck?) and decided to do this.

Yeah. We were all young and dumb at one time or another. Haven't ridden a motorcycle in about ten years now. Although I was one of the fortunate ones to never have been in a bike accident.

I always tend to compare to the most aerodynamic 4-passenger car I know of, the Volhart-Sagitta V2:



I like the protruding pontoon front fenders and the way they fall off away from the bubble top. Comes now the Glickenhaus SCG 003C:



The surface detailing is 21st century, but if the cabin were expanded to VW Beetle size it would be very comparable.
