That's pretty sweet. Article mentions the XL Sport. Seven years later time to an EV version.

I know.

It's almost perfect.

I can see this basic shell/platform being adopted to a modern Renault/Alpine A110.

Would be even sweeter than the 2017 effort.

Renault ALPINE

The 2020 ALPINE is Cd 0.30. Past ALPINEs have been as low as Cd 0.28. The VW XL SPORT was Cd 0.26 something ( with cameras ), maybe Cd 0.27 with Tesla mirrors.

which one

The center vehicle is a Jaray combination-form car with lowest drag. The other two are 'pseudo-Jaray' cars of 'fastback' rooflines, like the Beetle.

Is there a Snopes for aerodynamics?

Something cautions me from accepting this at face value.

Scale model of a student's project?

I like it, God help me.

It just has the wrong badge.

Snopes is garbage. What you want is a 4chan for aerodynamics.

aerohead — That was my thought, too. The other two contenders differ only in the greebling on the fastback. I wonder how close they would be to each other.
